Lawn Care Program

Pre-emergent Crabgrass Preventative

In early Spring (April) we apply a balanced granular fertilizer along with pre-emergent crabgrass preventative to make sure your lawn is off to an exquisite start by building turf density and controlling germinating weed seeds.

Mid-Summer*

During the summer months (June/July) we apply a balanced granular slow-release fertilizer along with a liquid spot spray to control weeds, as needed. This application of slow-release fertilizers is balanced to meet lawn and seasonal weather conditions.

Fall Weed & Feed

In early Fall (September) we apply a balanced slow-release granular fertilizer with micronutrients along with a full blanket liquid weed control. This application of balanced fertilizer helps build root development and gives your lawn the nutrients it needs after summer stress.

Late Summer*

Later in the summer (August) we apply a balanced slow-release granular fertilizer and a liquid spot spray to control weed, as needed. This application of slow-release fertilizer gives your lawn a good feeding during the dry durations.

Winterizer

Later in the Fall (October) we apply a balanced slow-release fertilizer and a liquid spot spray to control weeds as needed. This application allows the turf to store nutrients in the winter, which encourages root development an early green up in the Spring.

Spring Weed & Feed

Later in the Spring (May/June) we apply a balanced granular slow-release fertilizer with micronutrients along with a full blanket liquid weed control. We use nitrogen-heavy fertilizer which contributes to maximize chlorophyll production and slow-release fertilizers to provide a steady flow of nutrients to your lawn.

Your 6-Step Lawn Care Program also provides the following:

Guaranteed weed control all season (crabgrass, clover, etc.)

Property evaluations conducted during each application to identify any issues

Free courtesy visits for any problems or concerns you may have with your lawn in between applications

Insect control for the peskiest indoor and outdoor insects such as spiders, beetles, fleas, ticks, and more.

Lawn Weed Control Services

Mid-Michigan’s varying climate causes our lawns to be very susceptible to weeds. Otherwise, healthy lawns are easily overtaken by thistle, clover, dandelions, and other nuisances that seem to spring up overnight.

Common Michigan weeds like ragweed, spurge, crabgrass, and foxtail can ruin the hard work you’ve put into your lawn.  Pulling weeds is a chore enjoyed by no one. Spraying them is time-consuming and often has inconsistent results. Luckily, weed control is part of our lawn care service. This season-long control will help ensure your lawn is healthy and strong. In addition, we offer weed control for flower, rock, and mulch beds to help keep your entire yard weed-free. For our commercial customers, we also provide vegetation control services for municipalities and roadsides.
